Eagle Scout Service to help camp

Day of Service to Camp Announced!!!

Fellow Eagles, Michael Osvath has been working on a major improvement project to update the Trout Lake Migisi fire bowl at D-A Scout Ranch.

Attached are the set of drawings and materials list needed to complete the project. So far they have raised $6500.00 to replace all of the bench tops, new wireless sound system and plans are to put in a new 10 ft squared building to house all of the support equipment. The Trail to Eagle Camp Staff has helped raise the majority of the money and we had one private donor or $1000.00.

On May 27th, 2017 - The Eagle Scouts of Metro Detroit has offered to help with the physical assistance to this project. Please plan to arrive at camp that Saturday morning at 10 am at the Migisi firebowl. Mike will be there ready to welcome you to the work site.

Plan to bring work gloves and tools. The projects will include digging a trench from the new building to the bottom of the fire bowl, laying and wiring conduit for new electrical needs, installing bench tops, wiring the new building and relocating the fire pit from its current location.

If you would like to support this project directly but can not make the service day, please forward your financial support to Great Lakes field Service Council, BSA c/o: D-A Migisi Fire bowl Project, 1776 W. Warren Ave, Detroit, Mi 48208. All donations are tax deductable.
The financial needs for this project is $5500.00 which would also pay for laying of new layer of pea gravel on the steps and seating area.

If you have question about this project, maybe you know a company or group that would like to help, or you need a map to D-bar-A Scout Ranch, please contact Micheal Osvath at mosvath@gmail.com.
